Twenty years ago, there is a railway station in my town. When we are young we use to play along the station and we can hear the train coming. "Tut tut......" There were lots of empty boxes outside the station and we collect it to make it as a train. We invited some friends to joined us.My brother, he was the train driver and I am the one who sell tickets to people. We played like that everyday and when the train starts to move, my brother will make those funny noise. "All abroad...tut tut..." That's the sound of the train.
When we were still kids, there will be a young man holding a box of ice-creams and shouted. "Ice-creams, ice-creams" and when we saw him we'll helped him to shout. A bunch of kids shouting out loud. "Ice-creams, ice-creams. Cheap cheap ice-creams". That young man will gave us a smile and gave us free ice-creams.
There was a huge door outside the station, it is in dark colour and stray dogs use to sleep there. They take it as their house and no one will bother them. They'll barked at those naugthy kids who throw stone on them. When we were young we gave them bones that left from dinner and bring them left foods from lunch.
There was a small cottage outside the station, it can fit st least four person a family. And that was our family. We stayednear the station but we still have to walked a few miles from our house to the station.
Mama use to dry all the clothes outside the cottage and baba will sitting on a chair reading his newspaper. Me and my brother will plated outside the station with the boxes. Lifes pass a day after a day.
Five years later, we moved out from the cottage and leave outside the town. "Why do we moved out the cottage, baba?" I asked with a crying face holding my teddy bear. "There's no more trains and no one will come here anymore, we have to leave." Baba said looking at the station with a cold eyes.
Living outside the town, with a different life and different friends. Me and my family stayed outside the town for another five years. Living in a fresh air place with lots of farmers and no boxes. We didn't play that game ever after we moved outside the town. There's only kids going to school with books and bags.
Another ten years, my brother work as a manager in a company in the town and I'm still studying in the college in the town. I went back to the railway station. The dark gate had become a brownish gate and all the stray dogs had been kicked out, that station had now become a railway muzeum and outside the station had become a market. People sell out their things and visitors came to visit the railway station. Last but not least, our cottage had become a guard house. Beside the guard house there's a playground for kids.
Inside the station, there's still a railroad without a train and I can see no end from the station, see no train from the station. I went outside the station, there's no more boxes outside only some beautiful plants with some signboard.
Time passing by fast for twenty years and the old railway station had change so many in my town.
[THE END]
